SON OF NAZI WAR CAMP SURVIVOR WRITES INSPIRING BOOK AS TESTAMENT TO THE HUMAN WILL AND HEART

INTEREST FROM HOLLYWOOD PRODUCER FOR FEATURE FILM DEVELOPMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Set amidst the terrifying and unexpected Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, Beware the Wolves: A Soviet WWII Story is an enduring tribute to an extraordinary young married couple in the Soviet Union who risk everything - including their lives - in order to be reunited. More viscerally powerful and inspiring than fiction, this amazing true story depicts the overwhelming, and often cruel, odds faced by survivors of the Nazi occupation. But even life-threatening circumstances cannot stop Vladimir and Slava Moskalkov from putting their unshakable faith and deep love for each other first - and taking perilous steps to be reunited after an agonizing separation. Written with sensitivity and historical accuracy, Beware the Wolves is an uplifting testament to the strength of the human will and heart. Historical Writer Victor Moss, born in Nazi-occupied Poland and now a successful trial attorney, remembers hearing his parents’ harrowing story of separation, survival, and eventual reunion, in bits and pieces as a child. Now, he has captured their miraculous survival story in a compelling fact-based book.

During the couple’s time apart, neither spouse would know the fate of the other, but remained determined to see each other again. Vladimir Moskalkov, a medical doctor serving in the Soviet army, is taken prisoner of war by the Nazis. It is a daily ordeal marked by starvation, thirst, physical exhaustion, torment, life-threatening illness and constant degradation. He watched his war buddies struggle to stay alive, most of them eventually shot to death by the Nazis or destroyed by disgustingly inhumane conditions. Only Vladimir’s astonishing will to live and see his lovely young wife again keeps him from being one of the 2.8 million prisioners-of-war who perished during the first eight months after the Nazi invasion.

Meanwhile, pretty, young Slava Moskalkov is forced to work as a translator for the Nazis in their hometown of Vitebsk, where she awaits her husband’s hopeful return, all the while receiving absolutely no word as to his fate. Slava and her family are repeatedly warned by horrified neighbors, and the mighty Stalin Regine, that they must evacuate their home and flee Vitesbk, or be considered traitors. But Slava makes the courageous, and fateful, decision to stay where she knows her husband can find her.

In the end, it is indeed a surprising twist of fate, which brings these two devoted lovers back together again, their fervent, constant prayers for being reunited answered at last.
